7 Weeks

This week we took Caroline to the Virginia wine festival. It was super hot, but we had a blast. I loved the sweet yellow outfit she wore to the festival.

Hiking

We took Caroline hiking in the Shanandoha Mts. when she was 5 weeks old. We went with Thomas and Amanda Grabos and had a great time. After the hike we cooked hot dogs and smores. We ended up leaving early because Caroline started crying and would not stop- until we got rolling in the car.

First Trip to St. Simons, GA

I don't know what possesed me to do this, but I drove from Alexandria to St. Simons with Caroline and Sawyer by myself when she was 5 weeks old! Todd, B, Max and James all flew in for the week. It was a special time because it was the first time Max met Caroline. He loved her at first sight! It was also a special time because Caroline laughed for the first time. She actally laughed out loud at Mimi. This was her first trip of MANY to St. Simons.

One of my favorite memories from Caroline's first year of life is watching football games on the weekends with Caroline snuggled in her papasan. It was such sweet cozy family time. I would usually make rotel and chili for the big games. It was a fun family activity that didnt even require us to leave the house.
