Life

We have had lots of first over the past two weeks. William had his first real bath, Caroline had lunch at a tea room for the first time ever, and William met his church family for the first time. We are enjoying all of the firsts together as a family of four! The second time around is much less scary, and now I realize how time flies with small children. I am making sure to enjoy every moment with my two wonderful kiddies.

A New Normal

We are having fun as a family of four! Daddy stayed home with us all last week, and we took full advantage. We went to lunch for the first time as a family of four to celebrate William's one week birthday, went for William's first neighborhood walk, went to dinner with Mimi and Papa and went to the Science Museum to play. We had a blast and were so sad that Daddy had to go back to work this week. We are doing great though! On our first day at home without Daddy we all went to the playground in our neighborhood. It was so nice to have a break in the heat. Caroline swam in our kiddie pool in the backyard, and we did lots of art projects while William slept. We are so lucky to have two wonderful children! I am beyond blessed.

Family of Four

On Thursday, July 14th our family welcomed its newest member. William Barrett Sexton was born at 7:28 am weighing in at 9 lbs 3 ounces and measuring 21.5 inches long. We are so thrilled to be a family of four! Caroline is so excited to be a big sister. She has held William several times, and seems to love being around him. William is lucky to have such a wonderful sister to go through life with. We are so blessed to have two wonderful children. Here are some of my favorite pictures from William's birth day.

Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth of July weekend with Caroline. We took her to the Zoo, Science Museum and two different firework displays. We are trying to squeeze in as many fun things before baby brother arrives. The Fourth was a great day. We went to my mom's for a wonderful dinner and then went to see the Edmond fireworks. Caroline stayed up a little (ok - a lot) past bedtime, but she loved all of the beautiful fireworks. It was a great weekend.
