William Turns One!!

My sweet William turned one!  This has been an amazing year, and I feel so blessed to have William in my life.  We wanted to celebrate my big boy, so we had a few parties with friends and family.  Saturday, July 14 we went to POPS in Arcadia to celebrate with Anne Braden, Max, Tina, Jae, Ava, Vaness, Jase, Cheryl, Roberta, Jeff, Blaise and Brynn.  We had a great dinner, had cake, opened gifts, and played in their back yard area.  We had such a great night with our friends and family.  William had a great time digging in to his birthday cake and clapping for himself when everyone sang "Happy Birthday."  We got up early Sunday morning and drove to Jellystone at Lake Eufala with Jase, Anne Braden and Max for a fun day.  After we got back home, Nana, Grandpa, Grandma Sexton, Aunt Lori, Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Heather and Nick all came over for pizza and cake.  William had so much fun opening all of his presents.  It was a wonderful weekend.  I can't wait for all the birthdays to come.  William is the most special little boy, and I love him as big as the sky.

Busy Summer

Our Busy Summer

We have had a wonderful and busy summer!  We attended several local art festivals, played at the local theme park, Frontier City, fished with Papa, watched Caroline in the M&M Olympics at gymnastics, visited Nana and Grandpa, hiked, celebrated the Fourth of July, camped and visited the beach at Lake Eufala. We also all participated in the first annual Riley's Run 5k that I planned.  It has been a wild summer, but we have enjoyed every moment.

Caroline loves the Edmond Arts Festival because she can play games, bounce in the bounce house, and ride ponies.  Riding the horse was her favorite activity of the evening!
Brother was along for the ride at the Arts Festival.
We visited Frontier City several times this summer.  Caroline loves all of the fun activities.

One of Caroline's favorite summer activities was fishing with Papa at Hafer Park.  She had a great time casting her Barbie pole, and she was great at it. We all fished for about an hour, and Caroline caught 6 fish.  She loved throwing them back into the water and watching them swim away.

 First fish!

Caroline took gymnastic classes this past year.  The M&M Olympics was this spring.  She had a chance to show off all of her great skills.  Mimi, Papa, B, Todd, Daddy, Mackenzie, Brother, Carley, Brynn and Blaise all came to watch her.  She is getting so big, and she is becoming so athletic.  I love watching my baby grow up!

We have spent a few weekends visiting Nana and Grandpa in Enid this summer.  We always have such a great time when we stay with them.  Nana and Grandpa are the ultimate grandparents.  They have a million fun activities for the kids, and this visit the kids had fun water play.

James, Caroline, William and I have visited many of Oklahoma's State Parks this summer, and we have really enjoyed hiking.  James and I enjoy it a little more than the kids at this point, but I think the kids will learn to LOVE the outdoors as much as we do.  This picture was taken at Red Rock Canyon State Park.  After our hike, we had a fun day swimming in their campers pool.  This is a great memory!

Fourth of July is always a special holiday for our family. It was even more specail because it was William's first 4th of July!  This year, the kids and I went peach piking at Deep Fork Peach Orchard in Luther, OK. We had a wonderful time, and the peaches were amazing.  That evening we went to dinner and met all of our friends at a local park in Edmond to watch the fireworks.  It was a great 4th
.

James, Caroline, William and I camped in a cute little cabin at Lake Eufala.  We ate dinner on the drive down, so we made smores for dessert when we arrived at the cabin.  It was so hot, but we had a great time.  We stayed up late and played ball in the cabin with the kids.  The next morning, we woke up and grabbed breakfast at a cute little place that had great breakfast in Eufala. After breakfast, we headed to Jellystone, which is a water park with bouncy inflatibles, paddles boats, kayaks, put put golf and a pool.  We had so much fun playing in the sand, swimming and playing until we realized William had a brown recluse spider bite.  We immediately went to the Eufala ER and then headed to Children's ER when we got back into OKC.  Watching my sweet baby suffer through all the squeezing and pricks was horrible.  Even though we ended up in the hospital, we had a great time at Jellystone.  I guess we can say that we made some memories.
